Enter password to unlock the private key

An application wants access to the private key 'myuser@myhost', but it is locked

gnome-terminalでsshコマンドで、いつも使ってる鍵を使おうとしたら、こんな事を言われました。ロックした記憶もないのでパスワードの入力なんてしたくない。なんのパスワードかも分からないし。

と言うわけであれこれ調べてたら、アクティビティ→アプリケーション→パスワードと暗号鍵の個人の鍵タブに、なぜか自分のよく使う鍵が載ってました。登録した記憶もないので、とりあえず削除してみると、ロック云々のダイアログは出なくなりました。

あれこれやりながらだったのと、実は結構前の出来事ということで、ちょっと細かい部分はよく覚えて無かったり。上記で鍵を消すのが、パスワードと暗号鍵から消すだけだったのか、それとも実ファイルも消えたのかとか、載ってたのが公開鍵だったのか秘密鍵だったのかとかもよく覚えてません。

今、もう一度パスワードと暗号鍵を起動したら、よく使う鍵の公開鍵の方が、載ってました。でも鍵は使えてます。なんなんだろう？

このGnome Keyringあたりが関係してそうだけど、とりあえず解決したので深追いはしない感じで。

追記（2011/10/3）

また発生しました。上記のダイアログが出たのでパスワードと鍵暗号を確認したところ、前回同様に個人の鍵のとこに鍵が2つ載ってました。今回確認したことを箇条書きでまとめときます。

  • 名前のとこには、ファイル名ではなく、公開鍵に書いたコメントが載ってた。
  • 右クリックしてDeleteをしたところ、秘密鍵を消すかと2回聞かれたので、どちらもYesを選択。実際に~/.sshから公開鍵と秘密鍵が消えた。
  • 秘密鍵：id_rsa.fooと公開鍵：id_rsa.foo.pubという名前の付け方をしてたけど、公開鍵をid_rsa.foo_pubにリネームしたら、個人の鍵に表示されなくなった。
  • Fedoraをずっとサスペンドで使ってて、前回珍しく電源を落としたので、再起動するまではパスワードと鍵暗号に登録されないのかも。

ちなみに、パスワードと鍵暗号の実体は/usr/bin/seahorseでした。

sudo gconftool-2 --set -t bool /apps/gnome-keyring/daemon-components/ssh false

とあるフォーラムでの2008年の書き込みですが、上記設定をすると*1回避出来るようです。回避方法よりも、どういう仕組みなのかの情報が知りたいなぁ。たぶんMacOSのキーチェーン的な仕組みなんだろうけど、勝手に管理下においてパスワードの入力を求められても、入力なんてしたくない。せめて仕組みの説明が欲しい。
